The Fish Place

It is the best cod fish and chips I have eaten since leaving the Rock 4 years ago. The service was just as excellent as the food. It is a little difficult to find because the address on the web is incorrect. It is actually in Thickwood. The food was definitely worth the drive!

Maybe who is ever running this website should get their information straight. The address is #1-412 Thickwood Blvd. Not 7202 Cliff Ave. And to those who stated it was good food but bad service Im wondering how you can say it was good food if you obviously didnt stay to eat?

I have been to many restaurants where the table has just been wiped down and I have never complained about that. Would you rather be seated at a dirty table and then have it cleaned? And people do make mistakes but you obviously don't. Get real!!!

Food was okay but service was terrible. The guy wiped the table off and it was still wet when we sat down. No place to wait except a little doorway. The server forgot to enter our appetizers.

The food was amazing and the service was so great I don't know what your talking about they always help people as soon as they arrive as far as I've seen and I'm a regular customer!!! It's my favorite place to eat out

Good food, TERRIBLE service. The last time I went there I stood in the doorway waiting to be seated for 15 minutes, while servers walked in and out of the back. The restaurant was half empty, and the servers seemed more concerned about taking away dirty plates than seating me and my father. So we left.

If you're from the Maritimes you'll love the Fish Place. A home away from home. Servers are fantastic (and cute!). I highly recommend the halibut steak. Delicious.

The food is very good and well prepared. The atmosphere is more casual but they are remodelling in an attempt to get away from the marine theme.
